FAQ

Classes

What ages do you offer classes for?
We do gymnastics for everyone ages 1 (walking) through adults.

How do I know which class is right for my child?
The first step is to find the class your child is age-eligible for. Moonbeams and Little stars are for preschool ages. Once your child turns 5 they are eligible for our girls and boys classes. If your child has never had gymnastics they would choose Stars or Star Rangers depending on their age. Junior classes are for ages 5-8 and our older classes are for ages 9-13.

Can my child try a class before enrolling?
YES! During the registration process, select the class you are interested in and choose the “I want to trial this class” in the dropdown. Note that trials may only be available in classes that are not full.

Can we enroll after the session has already started?
YES! We offer year-round enrollment so you can join at anytime!

How much are classes?
Most of our classes are 50 minutes and are $104 per month. Each “month” includes 4 classes. Exceptions are our Moonbeams class which is 40 minutes at $84 per month. Note that when months have 5 weeks, we are typically closed for the additional week.

How do I register for a class?
You can register directly from our website! Chose the program, then find the class you are interested in and hit that “register” link. If the link says “wait list” that means the class is full but you can still sign up for the wait list and we will contact you when a spot is available.

How many kids are in each class?

Our preschool (Little Stars) ratio is 6:1. We may have up to 10 kids with 2 teachers in Little Stars. For our age group classes, our ratio is 8:1. Note that if a class has fewer than 3 students in it for more than a month, we may transition the time slot to a different class and transfer the students in it to another class day or time.

What should my child wear to gymnastics?
Children in gymnastics classes should be in a leotard with or without shorts (no metal buckles or fasteners). Boys may wear well-fitting shorts and t-shirts. No socks or shoes. Please remove all jewelry.

Can parents watch classes?
YES! We have observation spaces for our preschool, girls and boys classes.

What happens if my child misses a class?
If your child misses a class, they can make it up at our Tot time open gym for preschool and our Friday night open gym for age group classes. No need to sign up, just let the front desk person know you are doing a make up class!

How does my child move to the next level?
The Knightdale Gymnastics staff will perform evaluations about every 12 weeks. During this time, if your child has mastered all the required skills for their level, they will be given a card to move to the next level class. You can then head to the front desk to get transferred!

Do you offer private lessons?
YES, if you are interested in private lessons, fill out THIS FORM. Private lessons are $30 for 30 minutes or $60 for 60 minutes.

How do I withdraw from a class?
We require the DROP REQUEST FORM be submitted by the 20th of the month prior to the month you wish to drop. Any drop request after the 20th will result in tuition being processed for the following month. However, you may use the classes from that month to do open gyms/parent night out if you cannot attend.
