ABOUT US
About Knightdale Gymnastics
Knightdale Gymnastics has proudly served our community since 1994, offering year-round gymnastics instruction for children of all ages and ability levels. Our mission is to foster a lifelong love of movement, fitness, and athletics while providing opportunities for both recreational and competitive gymnastics.
Our newly remodeled facility is a place where children are encouraged to be children—to run, jump, swing, climb, and explore their potential in a safe, positive, and supportive environment. At Knightdale Gymnastics, we believe gymnastics is about more than skills and scores; it’s about confidence, resilience, and joy. We strive to create a space where every child feels supported to
Dream It, Believe It, and Achieve It.
Meet the Owner
Knightdale Gymnastics is owned and operated by [Your Name], who has been part of the gymnastics world for most of her life. A former gymnast herself, she began teaching gymnastics at just 14 years old and continued coaching throughout high school and college. After graduating, she returned home to Wendell and served as the Head Coach of a Raleigh-area gym’s Prep Op Team (now known as Xcel).
In 1994, she earned her gymnastics judging rating and went on to achieve National Judge status with the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges (NAWGJ) in 2009. She has served on multiple leadership committees, including the NC-USAG State Committee, the NC-AAU Committee, and the NC-NAWGJ Committee, and is currently serving her first term as the North Carolina State Judging Director.
In addition to owning Knightdale Gymnastics and judging gymnastics competitions on weekends, she works as a mental health counselor for adolescents and teens during the week. This unique combination of athletic and mental health experience deeply influences the gym’s philosophy and coaching approach.
Our Philosophy
At Knightdale Gymnastics, we believe gymnastics teaches far more than physical skills. Children learn perseverance, problem-solving, work ethic, emotional regulation, and confidence—skills that extend far beyond the gym and help shape successful, resilient adults. Our staff is passionate about meeting each child where they are, celebrating effort, and helping every gymnast grow both in and out of the gym.
